This old pub has now been demolished to make way for new houses, two other pubs here the Craighall Tavern and the Rock Tavern have also been flattened.

In the NEWS 1975...
A bottle full of cash came under the hammer for the fund of Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation Fund. Looking on (left to right) are owner of the Possil Bar, Mr John Walsh, "Miss Evening Times", Helen O'Brien, from Maryhill, Mr Forbes owner of the Rock Tavern a few doors away from the Possil Bar, and manageress Mary Sillars. 1975.
